Nebul, Blueriq and Deloitte launch sovereign AI initiative for government objection handling

Nebul, together with Blueriq and Deloitte, has launched a new initiative focused on sovereign and explainable AI for objection-handling processes in government. Through overheidsprocessen.ai, the collaboration brings together a practical use case, a whitepaper and a demo that show how AI can support public-sector professionals without compromising transparency, control or public values.

Objection handling is a strong example of where AI can create real value in government. These processes are often high-volume, time-sensitive and legally complex, while also requiring careful motivation, consistency and human oversight. That makes them a natural fit for AI support, but only if the underlying approach is explainable, governable and fully aligned with public-sector requirements.

Within the initiative, AI is positioned as support for both citizens and case handlers. It can help structure submitted information, assess completeness, summarize files, surface relevant case law, cluster similar objections and prepare draft decisions. At the same time, final judgment remains with the professional.
