Nebul expands to Belgium with more than 1,000 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs in GB300 NVL72 rack-scale systems
Europe’s Intelligent Cloud establishes its second European cloud region at Datacenter United in Machelen, combining Lenovo-supplied AI infrastructure with high-density colocation and advanced liquid-cooling capabilities to power next-generation AI workloads.
AMSTERDAM / MACHELEN, 28 OCT 2026. Nebul, Europe’s Intelligent Cloud and an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, has contracted its second data center location, at the Datacenter United campus in Machelen, Belgium. The site will host a new SuperCluster: more than 1,000 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs in NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems, the racks on which modern artificial intelligence is trained and run, connected to work as one system. Lenovo supplies the server infrastructure. With this step, Nebul grows from one region into a European cloud platform with multiple regions.
The expansion answers two demands growing across Europe: more computing power for AI, and more AI that stays under European law. Until recently, computing power at this scale was reserved for a handful of the world’s largest technology companies. Nebul now makes it available to European governments, enterprises and researchers, without asking them to give up control over their data and knowledge.
Demand for capacity is outpacing what is being built. This deployment is just the beginning of Nebul’s scaling ambitions: additional European regions and capacity are already in preparation, so that organizations do not have to wait for a next build phase to train and run AI under European control.
The choice for Belgium is deliberate. The Machelen campus will be built based on the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform for AI factories and holds ISO certification. It sits minutes from Brussels (IX), already hosts mission critical workloads for European institutions, and offers low-latency connectivity to the Netherlands. In addition, the deployment will be supported by Datacenter United’s high-density infrastructure and advanced liquid cooling capabilities, designed to meet the demanding power and cooling requirements of next-generation AI workloads. Hardware procurement is underway.
“This is a defining moment for Europe’s ambitions in AI,” said Arnold Juffer, CEO of Nebul. “Organizations want to amplify what they can achieve without giving up control over the intelligence they build. The demand is there, and it is larger than the capacity Europe is building today. With more than 1,000 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs as a part of GB300 NVL72 rack-scale systems in Belgium, and Datacenter United, Lenovo and NVIDIA as partners, we are delivering on that demand. And this Belgium deployment is a next step.”
“We are pleased to support Nebul’s expansion in Belgium with Lenovo systems engineered for NVIDIA GB300 deployments, bringing large-scale AI capacity to organizations in Europe,” said Jurgen Janssens, ED and General Manager Benelux at Lenovo.
“Europe’s AI ambitions depend on more than computing power alone. They require reliable, high-density infrastructure that can support the next generation of AI workloads,” said Friso Haringsma, CEO of Datacenter United. “Nebul’s decision to establish its new SuperCluster in Machelen demonstrates that Belgium has a meaningful role to play in Europe’s AI development. By providing the power, connectivity and advanced liquid-cooling infrastructure required for this deployment, we are helping turn those ambitions into reality.”
Europe has the knowledge and the talent to compete in AI. What it needs is computing power on its own terms, built ahead of demand. With a second region contracted and more than 1,000 new Blackwell Ultra GPUs underway, Nebul is showing what execution looks like. The ambition does not stop here. Europe must keep investing in data centers, power and permits, so that European organizations can build intelligence here instead of waiting for capacity elsewhere. Nebul intends to be the platform that turns that investment into available capacity. Built and operated in Europe. Open to the world.
