What Your Day Will Look Like

You will play a vital role in safeguarding our company’s information systems and data. Your responsibilities will involve implementing and managing security measures, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. You develop and implement security strategies, conduct security audits, and respond to incidents to ensure that sensitive information and systems are protected against threats. This role requires a proactive attitude, a deep understanding of security principles, and the ability to respond swiftly to emerging threats.

You will

• Continuously monitor security systems and alerts. Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Perform regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Develop, update, and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Prepare reports and documentation for audits.
• Manage access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information and systems.
• Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
• Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the company’s technology infrastructure and software development lifecycle.
• Keep abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. Continuously improve security measures and protocols.

• Handling non-security related IT tasks or general administrative work.
• Working in isolation without coordinating with other departments.
• Making security decisions without considering the overall business context and impact.

Your Profile

• Experience: Experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems. Strong understanding of network security protocols, encryption, and access control mechanisms. Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Capable of conducting detailed security assessments and incident investigations.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and prepare detailed reports.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify and address security vulnerabilities and threats.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security and securing cloud environments
• DevSecOps: Knowledge of security in DevOps environments and practices (DevSecOps).
• Advanced Threat Detection: Experience with advanced threat detection and response tools.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in a similar security role within a fast-paced or high-tech industry.
